Bhagavad Gita – Chapter-12- verse-12
श्रेयो हि ज्ञानमभ्यासाज्ज्ञानाद्धयानं
विशिष्यते ।
ध्यानात्कर्मफलत्याग: त्यागात्छान्तिरनन्तरम्
॥ ।१२।

श्रेयो हि ज्ञानम् अभ्यासाज् ज्ञानाद् धयानं विशिष्यते
ध्यानात् कर्म फल त्यागस् त्यागात् छान्तिर्
अनन्तरम्

ज्ञानम्-
knowledge: श्रेय- is
superior: अभ्यासात्- to
practicing: धयानं- meditation:
विशिष्यते-is
considered better: ज्ञानाद्- than
knowledge: कर्म फल त्याग-renouncing
the results of actions: ध्यानात्- than meditation: हि- certainly: त्यागात् अनन्तरम्- by
such renunciation comes: छान्ति:- tranquility.

Knowledge is superior to practice, meditation is considered better than
knowledge; renouncing the results of actions than meditation, verily by such
renunciation comes tranquility.
